In the 4th match minute, Peretu City 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Deleanu to maneuver through the defense. Gennaro Gattuso kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Peretu City 09's zone, Mihail Gherdan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucian Alexandrescu came out of the goal and Mihail Gherdan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alex Buzincu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Vito Silva's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Buzincu was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Ilie Nasta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucian Alexandrescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Peretu City 09 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Ionuț Năsturel shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 22 minutes into the match, Peretu City 09's goal looked a bit too open when George Ţiţeica came free, but Lucian Alexandrescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Buzău's Alex Buzincu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vito Silva in the 24th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Peretu City 09's Vito Silva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. After some careless play in the Peretu City 09 defense, Emilian Răduța kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lucian Alexandrescu. The Peretu City 09 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lucian Alexandrescu should have stopped the shot. The supporters of FC Buzău booed when Peretu City 09 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Ţirpescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ilie Nasta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Lucian Alexandrescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dan Deleanu was the one to do the kick off. FC Buzău's Emilian Răduța got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Novak Djokovic fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peretu City 09's protests and gave Novak Djokovic a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Peretu City 09 getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Novak Djokovic hit a great ball. After 56 played minutes, FC Buzău's Ionuț Năsturel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucian Alexandrescu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Buzău reached it. If Ilie Nasta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucian Alexandrescu made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when George Ţiţeica sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rdth minute of the game Emilian Răduța who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peretu City 09's Lucian Alexandrescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Buzău's zone, Vito Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Buzincu came out of the goal and Vito Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucian Alexandrescu made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Emilian Răduța sent off a good shot on target. Peretu City 09's Lucian Alexandrescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Nasta in the 77th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vito Silva in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Buzincu saved FC Buzău from getting behind. In the 86th match minute, Peretu City 09 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Deleanu to maneuver through the defense. Ionuț Năsturel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Alexandrescu having to interfere.
