The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 played minutes -BZF- The Elder Gods got a freekick which was hit by Nae Musta. Sergiu Angheluță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silviu Voicescu in the 12th minute of the match. George Aurelianu made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Cazimir Zăraşcu sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute, Horaţiu Nastac ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergiu Angheluță was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Champions Iasi's Sergiu Angheluță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Comișel in the 26th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Cazimir Zăraşcu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of George Aurelianu. The goal made the score 1-1. 34 minutes into the game, Panait Seremet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. -BZF- The Elder Gods's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Champions Iasi the free kick. Eugen Ozon missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 35 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the George Aurelianu right hand side. In the 38th minute Cazimir Zăraşcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Aurelianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 44 minutes into the match, -BZF- The Elder Gods's goalkeeper George Aurelianu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cazimir Zăraşcu. -BZF- The Elder Gods's George Aurelianu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save -BZF- The Elder Gods from getting a goal against them. 47 minutes into the match, -BZF- The Elder Gods's goalkeeper George Aurelianu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by George Vâlcu. After the first half -BZF- The Elder Gods were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cazimir Zăraşcu made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Champions Iasi booed when -BZF- The Elder Gods was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandu Hrandabur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edgar Tarcu scored 2-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Aurelianu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. -BZF- The Elder Gods's George Aurelianu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Vâlcu in the 60th minute of play. After 63 played minutes Champions Iasi got a freekick which was hit by Marin Albescu. In the 65th minute of the match, Silviu Voicescu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sergiu Angheluță was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Champions Iasi's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Silviu Voicescu 65 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-3. Horaţiu Nastac's late challenge caught a Champions Iasi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horaţiu Nastac helped the player get up and apologised. In the 73rd match minute, -BZF- The Elder Gods was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horaţiu Nastac to maneuver through the defense. Champions Iasi's Sergiu Angheluță proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Champions Iasi from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Niculae Măgureanu hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, George Vâlcu notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of -BZF- The Elder Gods's George Aurelianu. George Aurelianu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Champions Iasi's Sergiu Angheluță proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Champions Iasi from getting a goal against them. 91 minutes into the game, Denis Comișel cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-4. Sergiu Angheluță was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With 95 minutes on the clock, Eduard Ghișe commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 96th match minute, Champions Iasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Ghișe to maneuver through the defense. Valer Bosioc blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sergiu Angheluță having to make a save.
