Vlad Voican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Bodiu in the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of Alex Team booed when MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gheorghe Zmărăndache didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute of the match Cornel Bodiu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vlad Voican showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ion Chificeac made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Răzvan Boieru sent off a good shot on target. After 25 played minutes Alex Team got a freekick which was hit by Balamir Kotuzhan. Vlad Voican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Erosa in the 33rd minute of the match. Răzvan Boieru struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Ion Chificeac didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV. Cosmin Mușetescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dan Stelaru was the one to do the kick off. Vlad Voican showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Bodiu in the 52nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the Alex Team defense, Dan Stelaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ion Chificeac. The Alex Team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ion Chificeac should have stopped the shot. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Manuel Cozorici got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Alex Team's Vlad Voican threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from 김 즙, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Vlad Voican made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 김 즙 in the 58th minute of play. Cornel Bodiu scored 1-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vlad Voican, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute of the match Alex Team got a corner. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cornel Bodiu ran over to the corner to take the kick. If 김 즙 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Asmus Wesseltoft's late challenge caught a MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asmus Wesseltoft helped the player get up and apologised. After 74 played minutes Alex Team got a freekick which was hit by Asmus Wesseltoft. 78 minutes into the match, Alex Team's goal looked a bit too open when Răzvan Boieru came free, but Ion Chificeac reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ion Chificeac made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Vătavu in the 79th minute of play. Răzvan Boieru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cornel Bodiu came free with the goalkeeper in the 94th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Vlad Voican could save by the left post. 95 minutes into the match, Alex Team's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Vătavu came free, but Ion Chificeac reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
