The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sergiu Oneț stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, FC Ruscova's Nicu Arghirescu threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gică Izvoranu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 76 minutes, Romeo Ungur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Sportiv Medgidia and the FC Ruscova players grew even worse after the yellow card.
