Spectators: 155 (Terracing: 117, Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ferdinand Vâlcu started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, FC Inter Sibiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Chimeț to maneuver through the defense. Mihail Chimeț kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. FC Inter Sibiu's Eugen Plăcintă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Alupulesei in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Inter Sibiu's Horia Crăciunescu got a free kick in the 8th minute. Eugen Plăcintă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stelian Hulubei in the 12th minute of play. After 13 minutes, Horia Crăciunescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Inter Sibiu and the Club Sportiv Medgidia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Horia Crăciunescu hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Horea in the 14th minute of play forced FC Inter Sibiu's goalkeeper Eugen Plăcintă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Augustin Horea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eugen Plăcintă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 minutes of play, Club Sportiv Medgidia's Augustin Horea made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eugen Plăcintă was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ştefan Alupulesei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eugen Plăcintă came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Sportiv Medgidia's Augustin Horea. But to his dismay, Augustin Horea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Augustin Horea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Augustin Horea in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eugen Plăcintă saved FC Inter Sibiu from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Alupulesei in the 37th minute of play forced FC Inter Sibiu's goalkeeper Eugen Plăcintă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mihail Chimeț received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Nicu Arghirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 played minutes FC Inter Sibiu got a freekick which was hit by Cazimir Mocanu. In the 45th match minute, FC Inter Sibiu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Vâlcu to maneuver through the defense. Augustin Horea took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eugen Plăcintă. Eugen Plăcintă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Horea in the 57th minute of play forced FC Inter Sibiu's goalkeeper Eugen Plăcintă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Sportiv Medgidia's Ştefan Alupulesei slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eugen Plăcintă. That made the score 0-4 after 59 minutes of play. Ştefan Alupulesei struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Eugen Plăcintă didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Sportiv Medgidia. Eugen Plăcintă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augustin Horea in the 64th minute. Sergiu Timaru kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Nicu Arghirescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Vâlcu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Augustin Horea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugen Plăcintă having to interfere. The supporters of Club Sportiv Medgidia booed when FC Inter Sibiu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leontin Manta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Club Sportiv Medgidia's Nicu Arghirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihail Chimeț in the 86th minute of play. In the 96th minute, Horia Crăciunescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FC Inter Sibiu fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Club Sportiv Medgidia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
