The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Calistrat Herescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Leucuța in the 6th minute of play. Calistrat Herescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vasile Leucuța, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Silviu Buzatu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Tender saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Calistrat Herescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Victor Răcănel went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 25th minute, Victor Răcănel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Calistrat Herescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Calistrat Herescu came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by RED BLUE STAR's Vasile Leucuța. But to his dismay, Vasile Leucuța quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Calistrat Herescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Itu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Ilie in the 37th minute of play forced Romos FC's goalkeeper Calistrat Herescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Romos FC's zone, Vasile Leucuța stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calistrat Herescu came out of the goal and Vasile Leucuța tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 41 minutes into the match, Romos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Marcel Itu came free, but Calistrat Herescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Vasile Leucuța left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The RED BLUE STAR fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vasile Leucuța stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Silviu Buzatu fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Romos FC's protests and gave Silviu Buzatu a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes Romos FC got a freekick which was hit by Silviu Buzatu. In the 53rd minute, Vasile Leucuța got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Răzvan Jurcuț fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Romos FC's protests and gave Răzvan Jurcuț a yellow card for diving instead. Calistrat Herescu made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Vasile Leucuța sent off a good shot on target. Victor Răcănel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Calistrat Herescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Victor Răcănel slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 63rd minute. After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Romos FC! When the match had been going on for 67 minutes, RED BLUE STAR's Victor Răcănel got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Calistrat Herescu. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Calistrat Herescu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pavel Barbălată in the 76th minute of play forced Romos FC's goalkeeper Calistrat Herescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Calistrat Herescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Vasile Leucuța's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasile Leucuța got free with Calistrat Herescu in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 81 minutes, Ivan Baldovinescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the RED BLUE STAR and the Romos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ivan Baldovinescu kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. With a little luck, Romos FC's Calistrat Herescu got control of the ball when Vasile Leucuța tried to sneak it across the goal line. Calistrat Herescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcel Itu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Costel Chelbea fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Romos FC's protests and gave Costel Chelbea a yellow card for diving instead. After 95 played minutes Romos FC got a freekick which was hit by Costel Chelbea. RED BLUE STAR's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
