To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Adolfo Abar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manole Colin, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Remus Vuia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mac Allister, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the FC Maci -MM- defense, Valeriu Zoreanu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adolfo Abar. The FC Maci -MM- fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adolfo Abar should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Granicerul booed when FC Maci -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Prodan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusebiu Ianculescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adolfo Abar having to interfere. Adolfo Abar made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Iordache Ioneasa sent off a good shot on target. Vali Mitu kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. FC Maci -MM-'s attentive Panait Piersic managed to snatch the ball when Andrei Florei made a throw-in in the 44th minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mac Allister to make the kick off. Andrei Florei charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrei Florei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes Granicerul got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Florei. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack Ares in the 65th minute of play forced FC Maci -MM-'s goalkeeper Adolfo Abar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, Granicerul was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Manuel Boteanu to maneuver through the defense. Granicerul made a substitution.
