The MIT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Acatar's goalkeeper Remus Pincemin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Remus Pincemin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leontin Iacobescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FC Acatar's Remus Pincemin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leontin Iacobescu in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Urre stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Emil Glodeanu made a precise shot to the right of Remus Pincemin. FC Acatar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in MIT's zone, Eldridge Marshall stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vlad Anghel came out of the goal and Eldridge Marshall tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, MIT's Cristinel Bocaneț got a free kick in the 70th minute. MIT's Vlad Anghel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Cenușă in the 77th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leontin Iacobescu in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Remus Pincemin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 88th minute Leontin Iacobescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Pincemin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, FC Acatar's Remus Pincemin got control of the ball when Cristinel Bocaneț tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leontin Iacobescu in the 95th minute of play forced FC Acatar's goalkeeper Remus Pincemin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched MIT eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
