When Matei Onaca fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stiinta-Univ.'s protests and gave Matei Onaca a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th minute, Matei Onaca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stiinta-Univ. were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after The Huns's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Horaţiu Corduneanu took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Bădilescu in the 15th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Silviu Lung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Pânzaru made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Burdujan in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Silviu Lung had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Perșa. Despite this Martin Pânzaru quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Stiinta-Univ. fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when Stiinta-Univ.'s Manuel Burdujan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind The Huns's goalkeeper Martin Pânzaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Manuel Burdujan came free with the goalkeeper in the 51st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Martin Pânzaru could save by the left post. Traian Stoicescu kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Mihai Niță hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silviu Lung showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Perșa in the 60th minute of the match. Manuel Burdujan kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
