But to his dismay, Eusebiu Godeanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dino Zoff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manole Izvoranu in the 19th minute. Doru Ichim kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Manole Izvoranu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Dino Zoff made a huge save. With his leg Dino Zoff managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Simared -MM-'s Manole Izvoranu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Manole Izvoranu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Dino Zoff skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 32nd minute Eusebiu Godeanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernest Cazimir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manole Izvoranu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Dino Zoff made a huge save. After having played for 38 minutes, Manole Izvoranu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Simared -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Manole Izvoranu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Răzvan Isărescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino Zoff having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Manole Izvoranu made a kick off. A hard shot 51 in the game by Vintilă Hălmăgeanu from a close distance when the talented Ernest Cazimir managed to make a qualified save. Simared -MM-'s players were relieved. Ernest Cazimir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Ologu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bobby Fischer kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Simared -MM-'s Ştefan Stoican got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Narcis Dragalina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Dino Zoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernest Cazimir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Negru, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Vintilă Hălmăgeanu scored 0-2 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernest Cazimir, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Simared -MM-'s Ernest Cazimir got control of the ball when Costel Diaconu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ivan Stolniceanu's late challenge caught a Cormoranii -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Stolniceanu helped the player get up and apologised. Ivan Stolniceanu hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd match minute, Simared -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Stolniceanu to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Ologu got free with Ernest Cazimir in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Cormoranii -MM- booed when Simared -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Tonegaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cormoranii -MM-'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
