The Emerald fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Emerald's Victor Piţurcă slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vlad Covrig. That made the score 3-0 after 29 minutes of play. After 38 minutes, Olimpiu Fecioru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca and the Emerald players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute Gabriel Vermeşan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Covrig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vlad Covrig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Piţurcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Piţurcă in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vlad Covrig saved PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca from getting behind. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The throw-in from Olimpiu Fecioru in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Emerald's Damian Furlit. Vlad Covrig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. The Emerald fans' excitement grew in the 55th match minute when Emerald's Victor Piţurcă looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vlad Covrig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Vermeşan in the 60th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Victor Piţurcă put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Vlad Covrig. 66 minutes into the game, Dumitru Mititelu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Emerald the free kick. In the 66th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dumitru Mititelu to maneuver through the defense. Vlad Covrig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 68th minute of the match. Emerald's 梅国崇 quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eric Astafei, made in the 70th minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Piţurcă in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vlad Covrig saved PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca from getting behind. The supporters of Emerald booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Amuguroancei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vlad Covrig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 78th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Vlad Covrig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victor Piţurcă in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vlad Covrig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vlad Covrig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Piţurcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Carioca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Vlad Covrig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Victor Piţurcă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 梅国崇 struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Vlad Covrig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Emerald. Emerald's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
