The supporters of Emerald booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Astafei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vlad Covrig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 12th minute of the match. Vlad Covrig came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Emerald's Victor Piţurcă. But to his dismay, Victor Piţurcă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 16 minutes into the game, Olimpiu Fecioru threw the ball into play from the sideline. Emerald's Damian Furlit quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Vlad Covrig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Piţurcă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiberiu Rotariu hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 25th minute, Victor Piţurcă made a precise shot to the right of Vlad Covrig. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Emerald's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Ferdinand Condrea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vlad Covrig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Vlad Covrig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă in the 41st minute of play. Emerald's 梅国崇 managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eric Astafei in the 45 minute of the game.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victor Piţurcă to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Ferdinand Condrea ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vlad Covrig was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Victor Piţurcă might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vlad Covrig. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victor Piţurcă ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57thth minute of the game Victor Piţurcă who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Vlad Covrig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 83 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Mircea Jupân. 85 minutes into the game, Emerald's Victor Piţurcă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vlad Covrig made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. Victor Piţurcă had several of the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 89 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-11 score and a disappointed Vlad Covrig as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 93rd minute Victor Piţurcă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vlad Covrig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Emerald were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
