After a defensive mix-up in Unicorns ™'s zone, Iustin Hănescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Corneliu Vulpăşin came out of the goal and Iustin Hănescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Corneliu Vulpăşin was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Iustin Hănescu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Iustin Hănescu really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Stelian Voineag took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tudor Bodea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Petrică Ţirpescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Unicorns ™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Petrică Ţirpescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stelian Voineag breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codruț Giurcă during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 24 minutes into the game, Rareș Papadima cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Stelian Voineag was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Raureni Academy's Stelian Voineag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tudor Bodea in the 28th minute of play. The supporters of Unicorns ™ booed when Raureni Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iustin Hănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Unicorns ™'s Corneliu Vulpăşin got control of the ball when Cazimir Traian tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tudor Bodea struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Stelian Voineag didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Unicorns ™. Stelian Voineag didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rareș Papadima went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Raureni Academy's Stelian Voineag played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Calistrat Mihalcea in the 41st minute of play. After the first half Unicorns ™ were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tudor Bodea to strike the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Raureni Academy got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Hănescu. If Victor Muscaș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Unicorns ™ defense, Cazimir Traian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Corneliu Vulpăşin. The Unicorns ™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Corneliu Vulpăşin should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute, Rareș Papadima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Unicorns ™ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. 63 minutes into the match, Tudor Bodea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stelian Voineag. Raureni Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tudor Bodea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-6. Tudor Bodea came free with the goalkeeper in the 67th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Stelian Voineag could save by the left post. 70 minutes into the match, Calistrat Mihalcea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stelian Voineag. Raureni Academy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calistrat Mihalcea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-7. If Tudor Bodea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 76 played minutes Raureni Academy got a freekick which was hit by Lucrețiu Nicolaescu. Petrică Ţirpescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Stelian Voineag made a huge save. When Lucrețiu Nicolaescu fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Raureni Academy's protests and gave Lucrețiu Nicolaescu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Raureni Academy's Lucrețiu Nicolaescu got a free kick in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Rareș Papadima dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stelian Voineag, 2-8. When the match was over Unicorns ™ could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Raureni Academy throughout the match.
