Petruț Ţopescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Coșeriu in the 3rd minute of play. Emanuel Tiberiu hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After 5 played minutes Delphine Stars got a freekick which was hit by Răzvan Balaban. 6 minutes into the match, Delphine Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Dumitru Pantelimon came free, but Petruț Ţopescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergiu Coșeriu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petruț Ţopescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sergiu Coșeriu in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petruț Ţopescu saved Delphine Stars from getting behind. Academia Rio's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dumitru Pantelimon in the 10th minute. When Academia Rio's Virgil Şimonca in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Delphine Stars's goalie prevented a goal. Petruț Ţopescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergiu Coșeriu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the game, Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petruț Ţopescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Academia Rio! Academia Rio:s Aurelian Coporan showed great skill when he stopped Marcel Cristache:s penalty. Costel Cobzeanu hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Delphine Stars's Petruț Ţopescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergiu Coșeriu in the 32nd minute of play. Denis Nenciu kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Petruț Ţopescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgil Şimonca in the 36th minute of play. Aron Suşu hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After 45 minutes of play, Academia Rio's Virgil Şimonca made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petruț Ţopescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sergiu Coșeriu made the kick off in the second half. Virgil Şimonca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Petruț Ţopescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petruț Ţopescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sergiu Coșeriu's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. With an all-out effort, Academia Rio's Petruț Ţopescu threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Virgil Şimonca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Aron Suşu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Răzvan Balaban hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 62 minutes into the match, Delphine Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Sergiu Coșeriu came free, but Petruț Ţopescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sergiu Coșeriu scored 0-5 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Petruț Ţopescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Academia Rio getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Mihai Oniga hit a great ball. Sergiu Coșeriu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 81st playminute. In the 85th minute of the match, Sergiu Coșeriu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Petruț Ţopescu saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 87 minutes, Emanuel Tiberiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Delphine Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Tiberiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the game, Sergiu Coșeriu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Academia Rio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delphine Stars the free kick. When Costel Cobzeanu fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Delphine Stars's protests and gave Costel Cobzeanu a yellow card for diving instead. Costel Cobzeanu kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Academia Rio's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
