Damian Lechințan had great luck who in the 12thth minute grab hold of the ball when Robert Koren from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Pompiliu Cobzeanu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damian Lechințan having to make a save. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Emanuel Strugure hit a great ball. Damian Lechințan was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 60th minute, Robert Koren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Politehnica Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0.
