When Luca Voiculescu fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Politehnica Timisoara's protests and gave Luca Voiculescu a yellow card for diving instead. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augustin Boșneag made a kick off. Costică Josan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisc Trăilă having to interfere. Francisc Trăilă made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teodor Lucaci in the 54th minute. In the 56th minute, Mădălin Băcila ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisc Trăilă was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. Francisc Trăilă didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodor Lucaci went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-9 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Mădălin Băcila kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Francisc Trăilă. That made the score 0-10 in the 66 minute of play. That made the score 0-11 after 68 minutes of play. 71 minutes into the game, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Mădălin Băcila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Francisc Trăilă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-12. In the 75th minute, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Teodor Lucaci dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-13. After 81 minutes of play, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Mădălin Băcila made it 0-14 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cezar Sfârlea's late challenge caught a FC Politehnica Timisoara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cezar Sfârlea helped the player get up and apologised. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Politehnica Timisoara's Emanuel Strugure slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Francisc Trăilă. That made the score 0-16 after 93 minutes of play. When the match was over FC Politehnica Timisoara could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Romanian Gods™ throughout the match.
