In the 5th match minute, Carpathian Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Radu Tache to maneuver through the defense. After 6 minutes of play, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's Paul Mantu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicodim Arghirescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eusebiu Curea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Benitez in the 10th minute of play. Nicodim Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kryspin Walicki in the 14th minute of the match. FC Arges Dacia Pitesti were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Carpathian Wolves's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paul Mantu took the corner. The corner ended in Paul Mantu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Carpathian Wolves's Nicodim Arghirescu did a great save. Nicodim Arghirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Sandu in the 16th minute of play. After some careless play in the Carpathian Wolves defense, Mihai Dumitrachescu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicodim Arghirescu. The Carpathian Wolves fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicodim Arghirescu should have stopped the shot. Eusebiu Curea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zheng Di Sha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicodim Arghirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gică Sandu in the 22nd minute of play. Eusebiu Curea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doru Opincaru in the 25th minute. Pavel Benga charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pavel Benga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to FC Arges Dacia Pitesti getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Pavel Benga hit a great ball. Nicodim Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Mantu in the 31st minute of the match. In the 41st minute Paul Mantu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Arghirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Mihai Dumitrachescu notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Carpathian Wolves's Nicodim Arghirescu. Nicodim Arghirescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 46th minute, Herminio Benitez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carpathian Wolves fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mihai Dumitrachescu to make the kick off. Eusebiu Curea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zheng Di Sha in the 53rd minute of play. Eusebiu Curea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Bărboianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Benitez in the 57th minute of play forced FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's goalkeeper Eusebiu Curea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 61 minutes into the match, Carpathian Wolves's goalkeeper Nicodim Arghirescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gică Sandu. In the 64th minute Zheng Di Sha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebiu Curea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the game, Carpathian Wolves's Iurie Bărboianu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eusebiu Curea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Nicodim Arghirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kryspin Walicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's Eusebiu Curea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zheng Di Sha in the 72nd minute of play. The Carpathian Wolves fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. After 92 minutes of play, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's Paul Mantu made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nicodim Arghirescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 95th match minute, Carpathian Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilian Isopescu to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Arges Dacia Pitesti eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
