The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Narcis Ţipirig had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicodim Arghirescu. Carpathian Wolves's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narcis Ţipirig was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. FC Luck's Nicu Mincu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iurie Bărboianu in the 8th minute of play. After 9 minutes, Eduard Mutu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Luck and the Carpathian Wolves players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, FC Luck's Eduard Mutu got a free kick in the 9th minute. Nicu Mincu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Bărboianu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Narcis Ţipirig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nicodim Arghirescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Carpathian Wolves's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Zheng Di Sha in the 19th minute. After taking down the ball on Carpathian Wolves's corner Zheng Di Sha fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Nicu Mincu quite easily take care of the ball. Narcis Ţipirig struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Nicodim Arghirescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Luck. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Narcis Ţipirig managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Luck's supporters rose to their feet, but Narcis Ţipirig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicodim Arghirescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, FC Luck's Narcis Ţipirig dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-0. Romeo Goma hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. 41 minutes into the match, FC Luck's Silviu Bădila broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nicodim Arghirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavril Neicu in the 43rd minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eduard Mutu to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Carpathian Wolves's Emilian Isopescu got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 56th match minute, Carpathian Wolves was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tao Bin Ke to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carpathian Wolves's goalkeeper Nicodim Arghirescu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nicodim Arghirescu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narcis Ţipirig went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. In the 64th minute Narcis Ţipirig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Arghirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Carpathian Wolves's goal looked a bit too open when George Huștiu came free, but Nicodim Arghirescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicu Mincu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zheng Di Sha in the 72nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Narcis Ţipirig's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nicodim Arghirescu was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the game, FC Luck's Eduard Mutu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nicodim Arghirescu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narcis Ţipirig in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicodim Arghirescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Iurie Bărboianu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute, Gavril Neicu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeo Goma lost his temper 91 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Carpathian Wolves's Romeo Goma got a free kick in the 91st minute.
