After a rather tough play, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's Eliodor Casian got a free kick in the 6th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC Luck's zone, Kryspin Walicki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nicu Mincu came out of the goal and Kryspin Walicki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 11th minute, Narcis Ţipirig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Mutu came free, but Eusebiu Curea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kryspin Walicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicu Mincu having to interfere. Eusebiu Curea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Mutu in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to FC Arges Dacia Pitesti getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Taisto Bruun hit a great ball. After some careless play in the FC Arges Dacia Pitesti defense, Narcis Ţipirig kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusebiu Curea. The FC Arges Dacia Pitesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusebiu Curea should have stopped the shot. If Eduard Mutu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eusebiu Curea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narcis Ţipirig in the 34th minute. FC Luck's Gheorghe Comăneci quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Taisto Bruun, made in the 36th minute of the game. Eusebiu Curea was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and George Huștiu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. George Huștiu really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gavril Neicu during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Arges Dacia Pitesti booed when FC Luck was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gavril Neicu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 minutes, Victor Antoniu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Arges Dacia Pitesti and the FC Luck players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Luck booed when FC Arges Dacia Pitesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victor Antoniu didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The wind increased when Eduard Mutu made the kick off in the second half. Eusebiu Curea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Ţipirig in the 53rd minute of the match. Eusebiu Curea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narcis Ţipirig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcis Ţipirig in the 59th minute of play forced FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's goalkeeper Eusebiu Curea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Narcis Ţipirig left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Luck fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. 63 minutes into the match, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's goal looked a bit too open when Narcis Ţipirig came free, but Eusebiu Curea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Narcis Ţipirig blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusebiu Curea having to make a save. 68 minutes into the match, FC Arges Dacia Pitesti's goal looked a bit too open when Narcis Ţipirig came free, but Eusebiu Curea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes of play, FC Luck's Narcis Ţipirig made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusebiu Curea was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the FC Arges Dacia Pitesti defense, George Huștiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusebiu Curea. The FC Arges Dacia Pitesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusebiu Curea should have stopped the shot. FC Luck's attentive Gheorghe Comăneci managed to snatch the ball when Taisto Bruun made a throw-in in the 87th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, FC Luck's Romeo Mihai got a free kick in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Mantu in the 93rd minute of play forced FC Luck's goalkeeper Nicu Mincu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. George Huștiu scored 9-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eusebiu Curea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Luck fully deserved thier win.
