Cătălin Dăianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narcis Ţipirig, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. If Narcis Ţipirig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Narcis Ţipirig took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cătălin Dăianu. Cătălin Dăianu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 15th minute, Narcis Ţipirig ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cătălin Dăianu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albert Finteșteanu got free with Nicu Mincu in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cătălin Dăianu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narcis Ţipirig went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Narcis Ţipirig scored 0-5 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cătălin Dăianu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Narcis Ţipirig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cătălin Dăianu having to interfere. George Huștiu scored 0-8 in the 46th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cătălin Dăianu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-8.

The wind increased when Eduard Mutu made the kick off in the second half. Mugurel Ştefănoiu made in the 57th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Valentin Urdăreanu immediately put the ball in play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduard Mutu during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th match minute, FC Luck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Mutu to maneuver through the defense. A sloppy throw-in by Costin Croitoru in the 86th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by FC Luck's Gavril Neicu. FC Luck's George Huștiu got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Luck's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
