Manuel Hogaș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toader Arotăriței, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Balavanis booed when Rasnita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gheorghe Stoiciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Manuel Hogaș didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toader Arotăriței went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the match, Rasnita's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Vermeşan came free, but Manuel Hogaș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Gavrilă in the 26th minute of play forced Rasnita's goalkeeper Manuel Hogaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marin Gavrilă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Hogaș having to interfere. Iosif Doicaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Petre Baicea made a huge save. Petre Baicea stood somewhat misplaced when Iosif Doicaru came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 43 minute. Petre Baicea made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Gheorghe Stoiciu sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th minute, Paul Ene hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Toader Arotăriței to make the kick off. Sebastian Condrea charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastian Condrea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 71 played minutes Rasnita got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Condrea. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Gavrilă in the 72nd minute of play forced Rasnita's goalkeeper Manuel Hogaș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 played minutes Balavanis got a freekick which was hit by Mugurel Apostolescu. In the 75th match minute, Balavanis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciprian Sângeorzan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Balavanis's Marin Gavrilă got a free kick in the 91st minute.
