The corner led Balavanis's Horaţiu Vermeşan to fire away a dangerous shot which Francisc Geangu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Toader Arotăriței scored 2-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francisc Geangu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Angelino Miliano in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Petre Baicea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
