Spectators: 167 (Terracing: 126, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Aurel Gorunescu got the match started through his kick off. Matei Stelian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor Ciociu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aurel Gorunescu's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute Aurel Gorunescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Ciociu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victor Ciociu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aurel Gorunescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. Victor Ciociu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aurel Gorunescu in the 18th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aurel Gorunescu in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Victor Ciociu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aurel Gorunescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Ciociu having to interfere. Victor Ciociu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Gorunescu in the 31st minute of play. Victor Ciociu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leontin Cotoi in the 32nd minute of the match. Iosif Foltea came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Progresul Pitesti's Răzvan Receanu. But to his dismay, Răzvan Receanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Dragoş Oloieru made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's Leontin Cotoi got a free kick in the 51st minute. In the 53rd match minute, ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiberiu Zburlea to maneuver through the defense. Matei Stelian recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aurel Gorunescu in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Ciociu saved Progresul Pitesti from getting behind. In the 64th match minute, Progresul Pitesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mircea Măgură to maneuver through the defense. Panait Hrib hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Iosif Foltea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Matei Stelian in the 76th minute. After having played for 77 minutes, Matei Stelian managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Progresul Pitesti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matei Stelian was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Leontin Cotoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victor Ciociu. Progresul Pitesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leontin Cotoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. In the 89th minute, ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Dragoş Oloieru fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Iosif Foltea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dragoş Oloieru in the 92nd minute of play. When Leontin Cotoi came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the ★RO★ Afrimesti FC 2007 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leontin Cotoi couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute Aurel Gorunescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Ciociu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
