After having played for 5 minutes, Ionuț Petrea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ionuț Petrea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 13 minutes, Emil Ardelean mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balaceanu UFC and the Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely players grew even worse after the yellow card. Balaceanu UFC's Emil Ardelean got his second yellow card of the match in the 14th minute. The referee ordered Emil Ardelean off the ground. Emil Ardelean hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Virgil Cumpan made a precise shot to the right of Stelian Lalescu. Balaceanu UFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Nae Amuguroancei hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Iacob Vătăşel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grigore Bilașco in the 22nd minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Mircea Ivasiuc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balaceanu UFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mircea Ivasiuc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Ionuț Petrea hit a great ball. Iacob Vătăşel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grigore Bilașco in the 37th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgil Cumpan got free with Stelian Lalescu in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Horia Bosânceanu charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horia Bosânceanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely booed when Balaceanu UFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Bosânceanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Cornel Voinescu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Stelian Lalescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Grigore Bilașco was the one to do the kick off. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Iacob Vătăşel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely from getting a goal against them. Stelian Lalescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ionuț Petrea's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Costel Vieru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stelian Lalescu having to interfere. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Virgil Cumpan sped through Balaceanu UFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Stelian Lalescu. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgil Cumpan in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stelian Lalescu saved Balaceanu UFC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilian Gligan during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Emilian Gligan kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Balaceanu UFC's Stelian Lalescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgil Cumpan in the 71st minute of play. In the 72nd minute Virgil Cumpan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stelian Lalescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Cornel Voinescu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 74th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Balaceanu UFC. In the 76th minute, Ionuț Petrea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Virgil Cumpan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stelian Lalescu having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely's Horea Turlea got a free kick in the 90th minute. Iacob Vătăşel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 91st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Bogdan Bitang. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Virgil Cumpan in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stelian Lalescu saved Balaceanu UFC from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Erdélyi SE Marosvásárhely had won after a very even match.
