After some careless play in the FC Vlahuță defense, Nechifor Beșliu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mihai Rusu. The FC Vlahuță fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mihai Rusu should have stopped the shot. Mihai Rusu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nechifor Beșliu's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. Nechifor Beșliu took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mihai Rusu. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Radomir Czerwinski to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Costin Babarada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Vlahuță's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eintracht Cernavoda the free kick. Gigel Gologan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Mihai Rusu made a huge save. In the 59th minute, FC Vlahuță's Cedric Van Den Bosche seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cedric Van Den Bosche the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Vlahuță protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cedric Van Den Bosche had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The crowd rose to their feet as Doru Baicu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mihai Rusu. That made the score 0-7 in the 64 minute of play. Eintracht Cernavoda made a substitution. Toader Bogrea replaced Nechifor Beșliu. In the 70th minute Toader Bogrea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mihai Rusu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Vlahuță's Mihai Rusu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save FC Vlahuță from getting a goal against them. Mihai Rusu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. 97 minutes into the match, Toader Bogrea notched a goal, 0-9, to the right of FC Vlahuță's Mihai Rusu. Mihai Rusu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Eintracht Cernavoda supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Eintracht Cernavoda would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
