The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristinel Chivu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th minute, Cristinel Chivu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, GoooooL's Edgar Râznicu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 14 minutes into the game, Mihai Stolojan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dinu Lechințan. Mihai Stolojan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. In the 16th match minute, FC Inter Craiova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciprian Baba to maneuver through the defense. 19 minutes into the match, GoooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Tarcu came free, but Dinu Lechințan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Râznicu scored 1-1 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alexandru Chitimia, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Inter Craiova's goalkeeper Alexandru Chitimia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC Inter Craiova's Ciprian Baba was responsible for 2-1 with a brilliant performance in the 35th minute when he, by himself, got past the opponents defense and with a quick shot sent the ball into the goal to the left of Dinu Lechințan. Dinu Lechințan made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Mihai Stolojan sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th minute of the match, Florin Tarcu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dinu Lechințan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 40th minute, Aurelian Encea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florin Tarcu in the 42nd minute of play forced GoooooL's goalkeeper Dinu Lechințan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinu Lechințan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mihai Stolojan in the 44th minute. Dinu Lechințan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florin Tarcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. GoooooL's Edgar Râznicu got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mihai Stolojan to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florin Tarcu in the 52nd minute of play forced GoooooL's goalkeeper Dinu Lechințan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute of the match, Aurelian Encea got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alexandru Chitimia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Aurelian Encea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, GoooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Florin Tarcu came free, but Dinu Lechințan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Mihai Stolojan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Inter Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. The supporters of FC Inter Craiova booed when GoooooL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ioan Burdea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 played minutes FC Inter Craiova got a freekick which was hit by Ciprian Baba. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Inter Craiova fully deserved thier win.
