In the 3rd match minute, Cere was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Zogreanu to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Hermengildo Jobo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 9th minute, Nelson Mendoza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Codrin Vrabie was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucrețiu Blejan in the 14th minute of play forced UFC STEAUA's goalkeeper Ernest Obreja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nelson Mendoza got free with Codrin Vrabie in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute, Lucian Huțupan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nelson Mendoza in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Codrin Vrabie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 23 minutes into the match, Cere's goalkeeper Codrin Vrabie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelson Mendoza. After a rather tough play, Cere's Mihail Zogreanu got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Codrin Vrabie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Jobo in the 34th minute of play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucian Huțupan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Codrin Vrabie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Băncilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54thth minute of the game Nelson Mendoza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cere's Codrin Vrabie was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Narcis Crețulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Nicolae Plopșor hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Codrin Vrabie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Mendoza in the 58th minute of play. Nelson Mendoza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Codrin Vrabie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. Codrin Vrabie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelson Mendoza in the 62nd minute of the match. Hermengildo Jobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Codrin Vrabie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, UFC STEAUA's Hermengildo Jobo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Codrin Vrabie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nelson Mendoza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Codrin Vrabie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermengildo Jobo in the 69th minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Nelson Mendoza got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Codrin Vrabie quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The UFC STEAUA fans' excitement grew in the 72nd match minute when UFC STEAUA's Nelson Mendoza looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After some careless play in the Cere defense, Hermengildo Jobo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Codrin Vrabie. The Cere fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Codrin Vrabie should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costică Mangra in the 82nd minute of play forced Cere's goalkeeper Codrin Vrabie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Cere defense, Nelson Mendoza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Codrin Vrabie. The Cere fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Codrin Vrabie should have stopped the shot. 87 minutes into the game, Hermengildo Jobo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Codrin Vrabie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Codrin Vrabie came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by UFC STEAUA's Hermengildo Jobo. But to his dismay, Hermengildo Jobo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. In the 95th minute, Nelson Mendoza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UFC STEAUA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. UFC STEAUA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
