Alin Bucur could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Cristinel Gabriel made a huge save. FC Cosula-BTF-'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ciprian Gaiță in the 29th minute. 37 minutes into the game, FC Cosula-BTF-'s Vintilă Bădescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cristinel Gabriel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Gigel Bălan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Gabby Cristi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ilie Brumaru. FC Cosula-BTF-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabby Cristi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ciprian Gaiță stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vintilă Bădescu in the 52nd minute of play forced ⚽️FC CRYSTYAN ACADEMY⚽️ ™'s goalkeeper Cristinel Gabriel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Cosula-BTF-'s goalkeeper Ilie Brumaru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Viorel Stănciulaş during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 93rd minute Ciprian Gaiță shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristinel Gabriel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
