When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Lennart De Keyser sped through de belletrekkers's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kristiaan Van de Velde. Wart Decremer hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart De Keyser in the 43rd minute of play forced de belletrekkers's goalkeeper Kristiaan Van de Velde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Jamie van Elderen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgard Armentier in the 53rd minute of play forced Invictus FC's goalkeeper Sammy Candries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 58 minutes, Wart Decremer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Invictus FC and the de belletrekkers players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th minute, Wart Decremer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurgen De Rudder in the 60th minute of play forced Invictus FC's goalkeeper Sammy Candries to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wart Decremer was shown his second yellow card after 61 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of de belletrekkers booed when Invictus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wart Decremer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Invictus FC's Sammy Candries played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jurgen De Rudder in the 64th minute of play. Bram Huyghebaert kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Jurgen De Rudder blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sammy Candries having to make a save. Oswald Van den Panhuizen was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th match minute, Invictus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oswald Van den Panhuizen to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Invictus FC's zone, Quirce Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sammy Candries came out of the goal and Quirce Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 78 minutes of play, de belletrekkers's Edgard Armentier made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sammy Candries was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan De Smet hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The supporters of Invictus FC booed when de belletrekkers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gino Focquier didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Koen Huijsmans fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Invictus FC's protests and gave Koen Huijsmans a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Invictus FC got a freekick which was hit by Koen Huijsmans. Jurgen De Rudder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of de belletrekkers booed when Invictus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart De Keyser didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd minute Jurgen De Rudder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sammy Candries saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th match minute, Invictus FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Koen Huijsmans to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The de belletrekkers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Invictus FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
