The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Marco Jamieson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Van Gijsel in the 4th minute of play. If Edgard Van Gijsel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the game, SK Gullegem's Elias Torfs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristof Huysmans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th minute Remco de Nooter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristof Huysmans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Anton Volders had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Remco de Nooter notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of The Everett Hawks's Kristof Huysmans. Kristof Huysmans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute, Edgard Van Gijsel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elias Torfs scored 0-3 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kristof Huysmans, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cederique Jamieson kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remco de Nooter to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgard Van Gijsel in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marco Jamieson saved SK Gullegem from getting behind. Marco Jamieson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Van Gijsel in the 55th minute of play. Kristof Huysmans was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Remco de Nooter capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Remco de Nooter really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Kristof Huysmans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elias Torfs in the 67th minute. Marco Jamieson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorg Van Halssbeeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 played minutes The Everett Hawks got a freekick which was hit by Lex Marant. 77 minutes into the game, Anton Volders was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SK Gullegem's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Everett Hawks the free kick. Anton Volders hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 80 played minutes The Everett Hawks got a freekick which was hit by Bert Wuets. The supporters of The Everett Hawks booed when SK Gullegem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerrit Quintens didn't get a good kick on the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Jacky Jamieson notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of The Everett Hawks's Kristof Huysmans. Kristof Huysmans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. SK Gullegem's Marco Jamieson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diederiek De Pauw in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Anton Volders notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of The Everett Hawks's Kristof Huysmans. Kristof Huysmans was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over SK Gullegem could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than The Everett Hawks throughout the match.
