Moerhuize were furious when Raúl Alavedra was red carded, 46 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The supporters of SK Gullegem booed when Moerhuize was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raúl Alavedra didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Gerrit Quintens kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Moerhuize fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SK Gullegem were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
