Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jacque De Brouwer took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nestor Vansteenbrugge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenneth Thielens in the 6th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bruly's Joery Cortens got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Jacque De Brouwer notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bruly's Rudy Duchateau. Rudy Duchateau was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jacque De Brouwer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Rudy Duchateau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sporting Westmeerbeek's Nestor Naegels got a free kick in the 17th minute. After 19 played minutes Sporting Westmeerbeek got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Naegels. Walter Wyns could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Nestor Vansteenbrugge made a huge save. Rudy Duchateau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Sarangapani in the 26th minute of the match. Walter Wyns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nestor Vansteenbrugge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernst Melkval in the 41st minute. Rudy Duchateau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alex Sarangapani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernst Melkval to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Walter Wyns ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nestor Vansteenbrugge was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Toon Uijterhove hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Danny den Ronden came free with the goalkeeper in the 63rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rudy Duchateau could save by the left post. Rudy Duchateau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacque De Brouwer in the 64th minute of play. Sporting Westmeerbeek's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jacque De Brouwer in the 65th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jacque De Brouwer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rudy Duchateau quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cesar Raniers kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. A collision led to Sporting Westmeerbeek getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Charles-Antoine Vercammen hit a great ball. Ernst Melkval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Nestor Vansteenbrugge tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Sporting Westmeerbeek booed when Bruly was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenneth Thielens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st match minute, Sporting Westmeerbeek was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Charles-Antoine Vercammen to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Walter Wyns had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestor Vansteenbrugge. Sporting Westmeerbeek's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walter Wyns was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Nestor Vansteenbrugge showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernst Melkval in the 96th minute of the match. Bruly walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
