Spectators: 166 (Terracing: 125, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorge Reijnders started the match with the kick off. Yanick Verschelde made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Dino Maquiano sent off a good shot on target. Yanick Verschelde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Reijnders in the 6th minute. Kickers United's Dino Maquiano was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 7th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 10th minute, Luca Savino reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Yanick Verschelde. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 14th minute Maxime Van Bombergen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cederik Huts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute Leonides Blasi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yanick Verschelde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Reijnders's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Yanick Verschelde skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Yanick Verschelde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jorge Reijnders's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Jorge Reijnders could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Yanick Verschelde made a huge save. In the 31st minute, Dino Maquiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dino Maquiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Yanick Verschelde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kickers United's Cederik Huts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Van Mechelen in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, YR Mechelen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Imbereghs to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 41 minutes Jorge Reijnders got an excellent opportunity and fired away a shot on goal, but Yanick Verschelde was perfectly placed and executed a great save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Van Mechelen made a kick off. In the 55th minute Dino Maquiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yanick Verschelde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Dino Maquiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yanick Verschelde. YR Mechelen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dino Maquiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Jorge Reijnders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 69 minutes into the match, Lode Rouvroys had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yanick Verschelde. YR Mechelen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lode Rouvroys was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Gartzi in the 72nd minute of play forced YR Mechelen's goalkeeper Yanick Verschelde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. YR Mechelen's Yanick Verschelde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lode Rouvroys in the 75th minute of play. The corner led Kickers United's Blas Lertxun to fire away a dangerous shot which Yanick Verschelde despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Luca Savino took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yanick Verschelde. Yanick Verschelde dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lode Rouvroys in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yanick Verschelde saved YR Mechelen from getting behind. The YR Mechelen fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when YR Mechelen's Miguel Van Mechelen looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 7-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 89th minute, Dino Maquiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yanick Verschelde was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-1. Jannick Melkval hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute, Blas Lertxun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Kickers United were the better team. Kickers United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
