Perry Van der Weijden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornel Ulici in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Perry Van der Weijden saved Racing Matinette from getting behind. In the 12th minute, Leif Olofsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When SK Mons's Cornel Ulici in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Racing Matinette's goalie prevented a goal. Cornel Ulici spun around in front of the goal 15 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Racing Matinette's goal. SK Mons's Nick Daniels got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SK Mons's Alex Pihl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mats Waron in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lennart Libesoons in the 20th minute of play forced Racing Matinette's goalkeeper Perry Van der Weijden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perry Van der Weijden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornel Ulici, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the match, Racing Matinette's goal looked a bit too open when Cornel Ulici came free, but Perry Van der Weijden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Pihl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martial Du Bois, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of SK Mons booed when Racing Matinette was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristof Meersman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Racing Matinette's goal looked a bit too open when Lennart Libesoons came free, but Perry Van der Weijden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loid Van Parijs scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alex Pihl, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 37 minutes into the game, SK Mons's Cornel Ulici nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Perry Van der Weijden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Racing Matinette's Cristiano Lukaku got a free kick in the 41st minute. Racing Matinette's Perry Van der Weijden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornel Ulici in the 43rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cornel Ulici in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Perry Van der Weijden saved Racing Matinette from getting behind.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cornel Ulici made a kick off. Alex Pihl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Lukaku in the 51st minute of play. Kristof Meersman's late challenge caught a SK Mons's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristof Meersman helped the player get up and apologised. After 52 played minutes Racing Matinette got a freekick which was hit by Kristof Meersman. In the 53rd minute Peng Xu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perry Van der Weijden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 54 minutes, Loid Van Parijs mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Racing Matinette and the SK Mons players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Racing Matinette getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Loid Van Parijs hit a great ball. Simon Enfant kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After some careless play in the SK Mons defense, Martial Du Bois kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Pihl. The SK Mons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Pihl should have stopped the shot. SK Mons made a substitution. Ruben Smidts replaced Ulisses Sá. The supporters of Racing Matinette booed when SK Mons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennart Libesoons didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mats Waron hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Perry Van der Weijden stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cornel Ulici's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by SK Mons's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elia Santangelo was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Matinette's players had a chance to rest. In the 83rd minute Cristiano Lukaku shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Pihl saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes of play, Racing Matinette's Cristiano Lukaku made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Pihl was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alex Pihl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Lukaku, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Loid Van Parijs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alex Pihl was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Racing Matinette had won after a very even match.
