The ball had pretty good speed, but Gerard Verhaghe firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 14 minutes, Piet Huijghens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. real dixmuda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Piet Huijghens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gerard Verhaghe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Demets in the 15th minute of the match. Kurt Clement made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Piet Huijghens in the 22nd minute of play. Piet Huijghens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Piet Huijghens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bryan Rummens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Gerard Verhaghe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Reinaert Staes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 60 minutes of play, real dixmuda's Xander-Paul Pellegrims made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kurt Clement was left in no man's land by his defense there! Didier Lingier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kurt Clement having to interfere. Piet Huijghens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerard Verhaghe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Peeters, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 73 minutes into the match, Minion Mim's goalkeeper Kurt Clement had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mathias Goovaerts. The crowd rose to their feet as real dixmuda's Piet Huijghens slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kurt Clement. That made the score 0-4 after 75 minutes of play. After 83 played minutes Piet Huijghens could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 0-5 into the left cross. Gerard Verhaghe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Demets, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. real dixmuda's Gerard Verhaghe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Demets in the 95th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. real dixmuda walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
