After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Sam Roelants managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Dreigoten's supporters rose to their feet, but Sam Roelants was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernard Ryers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14th match minute, SK Dreigoten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kim Van Gysel to maneuver through the defense. If Ruben de Wolf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jo Maerschalcx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominic Vlimmens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Forza Heppenbach's Jorne Vits seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Jorne Vits the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Forza Heppenbach protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Jorne Vits had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 18 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Forza Heppenbach! Fernand Melkval's late challenge caught a SK Dreigoten's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernand Melkval helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SK Dreigoten booed when Forza Heppenbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernand Melkval didn't get a good kick on the ball. Forza Heppenbach's Bernard Ryers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Forza Heppenbach from getting a goal against them. Forza Heppenbach's Bernard Ryers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelis Meys in the 59th minute of play. In the 59th minute Cornelis Meys shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Ryers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 minutes of play, SK Dreigoten's Fransesco Jenken made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernard Ryers was left in no man's land by his defense there! With 65 minutes on the clock, Jacky Wauters commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 65th match minute, SK Dreigoten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacky Wauters to maneuver through the defense. Jo Maerschalcx made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel De Beer in the 66th minute. SK Dreigoten made a substitution. Gustaaf Libesoons replaced Jordi Focquier.
