With a couple of smart ball manuevers Niki Van Hoeyvelt in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aldo Candal saved Brugge United from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Brugge United's Jozef Waron slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Reinaud De Schutter. That made the score 1-4 after 55 minutes of play. 58 minutes into the match, KFC Paal-Tervant's goal looked a bit too open when Pacho Carabajal came free, but Reinaud De Schutter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bram Van Wontergem charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bram Van Wontergem the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Brugge United booed when KFC Paal-Tervant was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bram Van Wontergem didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Raoul Lambert got free with Reinaud De Schutter in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pacho Carabajal spun around in front of the goal 60 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of KFC Paal-Tervant's goal. In the 65thth minute of the game Pacho Carabajal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Paal-Tervant's Reinaud De Schutter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 66 minutes into the match, KFC Paal-Tervant's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Terwenhout came free, but Reinaud De Schutter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Brugge United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
