With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ive De Meyer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 16 minutes, Gilian Ramps made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC Gullegem's Ive De Meyer tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Gilian Ramps's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ive De Meyer was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. A collision led to Beek City getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Matthias Claes hit a great ball. Ken Goffeyn scored 0-3 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ive De Meyer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jeffrey Goethals kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Matthias Claes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Gullegem's Ive De Meyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilian Ramps in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Gilian Ramps ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ive De Meyer was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Ive De Meyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frits De Bruyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute, Pipo Berghmans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The FC Gullegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ive De Meyer should have stopped the shot. FC Gullegem's Ive De Meyer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save FC Gullegem from getting a goal against them. Ive De Meyer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tostão van Beek in the 66th minute of the match. After some careless play in the FC Gullegem defense, Gilian Ramps kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ive De Meyer. The FC Gullegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ive De Meyer should have stopped the shot. In the 78th play minute Gilian Ramps came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ive De Meyer. 0-8. 83 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goalkeeper Ive De Meyer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frits De Bruyn. Ive De Meyer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilian Ramps, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 87 minutes into the match, FC Gullegem's goal looked a bit too open when Gilian Ramps came free, but Ive De Meyer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beek City were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
