Antonio Claeys made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Antonio Claeys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilian Ramps in the 34th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Beek City's Ken Goffeyn got a free kick in the 35th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tostão van Beek made a kick off. Antonio Claeys made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilian Ramps in the 55th minute. In the 60th minute, Beek City's Gilian Ramps ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Antonio Claeys. Antonio Claeys yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. With an all-out effort, Beek City's Antonio Claeys threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tostão van Beek, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Gilian Ramps had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilian Ramps could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Antonio Claeys made a huge save. The supporters of Beek City booed when FC Ouagadougou National was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaus De Bougne didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Ouagadougou National's Antonio Claeys proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save FC Ouagadougou National from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Gilian Ramps kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antonio Claeys. That made the score 0-5 in the 78 minute of play.
