Protegéerna's Bo-Erik Springfält got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Mårtensson in the 13th minute of play forced Protegéerna's goalkeeper Georg Vallin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Protegéerna getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Magnus Gustavsson hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Svante Petersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bloodthirsty FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Svante Petersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georg Vallin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 24 minutes into the match, Bloodthirsty FC's goalkeeper 何旭银 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo-Erik Springfält. The supporters of Bloodthirsty FC booed when Protegéerna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Lundström didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 minutes, Magnus Gustavsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Protegéerna and the Bloodthirsty FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bror Söderqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Georg Vallin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the game, Alexander Lundström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Protegéerna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bloodthirsty FC the free kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Roy Bennet to make the kick off. 何旭银 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roy Bennet went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Olof Västerberg got free with Georg Vallin in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 60 played minutes Bloodthirsty FC got a freekick which was hit by Sverker Collin. In the 61st match minute, Bloodthirsty FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sverker Collin to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Roy Bennet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 何旭银 was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Protegéerna made a substitution. Roy Gallberg replaced Roy Bennet. 何旭银 stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roy Gallberg's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Börge Arenberg's late challenge caught a Bloodthirsty FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Börge Arenberg helped the player get up and apologised. After 93 played minutes Protegéerna got a freekick which was hit by Börge Arenberg. Börge Arenberg hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Protegéerna's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
