Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) Linköpings AIK's Michael Åhlberg started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michael Åhlberg in the 3rd minute of play forced Malmö White Knights's goalkeeper Petter Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the game, Michael Åhlberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Petter Fransson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valter Källberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 9 played minutes Malmö White Knights got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Gummeson. After a rather tough play, Malmö White Knights's Lucas Gummeson got a free kick in the 11th minute. Linköpings AIK's Valter Källberg got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th minute Styrbjörn Svensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petter Fransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Johan Hedlund had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Staffan Lind. Linköpings AIK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Johan Hedlund was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Johan Hedlund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Staffan Lind made a huge save. In the 28th minute Michael Åhlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petter Fransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 31 in the game by Johan Hedlund from a close distance when the talented Staffan Lind managed to make a qualified save. Linköpings AIK's players were relieved. The audience thought a goal was coming when Johan Hedlund got free with Staffan Lind in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Michael Åhlberg in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petter Fransson saved Malmö White Knights from getting behind. Ingvar Engström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Petter Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Staffan Wallin kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Petter Fransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingvar Engström in the 46th minute of the match. Malmö White Knights's Petter Fransson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valter Källberg in the 47th minute of play. The Linköpings AIK fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Linköpings AIK's Michael Åhlberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Malmö White Knights players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Linköpings AIK were winning 1-2.

Ingvar Engström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Petter Fransson made a huge save. Linköpings AIK's Valter Källberg got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Jens-Ola Alebeck fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linköpings AIK's protests and gave Jens-Ola Alebeck a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Jens-Ola Alebeck hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the game, Rutger Delin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malmö White Knights's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linköpings AIK the free kick. The supporters of Linköpings AIK booed when Malmö White Knights was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rutger Delin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ingvar Engström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Petter Fransson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Linköpings AIK defense, Rutger Delin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Staffan Lind. The Linköpings AIK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Staffan Lind should have stopped the shot. When Lucas Gummeson came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Malmö White Knights fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucas Gummeson couldn't finish the play. Melker Wenerdahl hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 83rd match minute, Malmö White Knights was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Gummeson to maneuver through the defense. If Ingvar Engström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Staffan Wallin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the game, Michael Åhlberg recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Petter Fransson. Michael Åhlberg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. In the 98th minute, Linköpings AIK's Valter Källberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Petter Fransson. Petter Fransson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4.
