After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Bernt Nordmark managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garphyttan's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt Nordmark was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lennart Palmquist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Claes Damm took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Jörgen Gummeson to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Nordmark in the 10th minute of play forced Olivedals BK's goalkeeper Lennart Palmquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jens-Ola Nordin scored 1-2 in the 11th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lennart Palmquist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Jens-Ola Nordin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lennart Palmquist. Olivedals BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jens-Ola Nordin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-4 when Jesus Arce sped through Olivedals BK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lennart Palmquist. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jesus Arce in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lennart Palmquist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Klas Jakobsson kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Jens-Ola Nordin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 33rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lennart Palmquist. Olivedals BK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 34th minute Bernt Nordmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lennart Palmquist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Åke Sandell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennart Palmquist having to interfere. 40 minutes into the match, Olivedals BK's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Nordmark came free, but Lennart Palmquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Garphyttan's Jesus Arce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lennart Palmquist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Olivedals BK's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Ola Nordin came free, but Lennart Palmquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Bernt Nordmark made a precise shot to the right of Lennart Palmquist. Olivedals BK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jesus Arce was the one to do the kick off. Garphyttan's Karl-Åke Sandell got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Garphyttan's Jesus Arce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lennart Palmquist narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lennart Palmquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karl-Åke Sandell in the 59th minute of play. Jörgen Gummeson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claes Damm in the 64th minute of the match. If Jesus Arce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Olivedals BK's goalkeeper Lennart Palmquist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Åke Sandell. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sverker Eliasson in the 74th minute of play forced Garphyttan's goalkeeper Jörgen Gummeson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl-Åke Sandell's late challenge caught a Olivedals BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Karl-Åke Sandell helped the player get up and apologised. Karl-Åke Sandell kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Jörgen Gummeson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sverker Eliasson in the 78th minute of the match. During the 79th minute of the match Karl-Åke Sandell completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Karl-Åke Sandell a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Karl-Åke Sandell hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Lennart Palmquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jesus Arce in the 83rd minute of play. Lennart Palmquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jens-Ola Nordin in the 88th minute. In the 89th minute, Gösta Henriksson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lennart Palmquist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. After some careless play in the Olivedals BK defense, Jesus Arce kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lennart Palmquist. The Olivedals BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lennart Palmquist should have stopped the shot. Garphyttan's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
