The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Klas Adelsköld during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Klas Adelsköld hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 5th minute Joel Wennerqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredric Holmberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fredric Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Erik Wållander in the 7th minute of play. A collision led to Aston Villa FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Tor Ödmann hit a great ball. Fredric Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Bohlin in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Aston Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Wennerqvist came free, but Fredric Holmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute of the match, Bo Lange tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Isidoro Figueiras saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 21st minute Aston Villa FC were awarded a corner. Marcus Engström went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Aston Villa FC's Klas Kolberg getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The throw-in from Jan-Erik Wållander in the 25th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Aston Villa FC's Bo Lange. Fluffe BK's Isidoro Figueiras proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Fluffe BK from getting a goal against them. 30 minutes into the match, Aston Villa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Klas Skog came free, but Fredric Holmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joel Wennerqvist in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fredric Holmberg saved Aston Villa FC from getting behind. Aston Villa FC's Fredric Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Wennerqvist in the 38th minute of play. Kurt Bohlin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee felt a red card was in order, 41 minutes into the game, when Tor Ödmann put in a rough tackle. In the 41st minute, one of Aston Villa FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aston Villa FC. In the 49thth minute of the game Klas Skog who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aston Villa FC's Fredric Holmberg was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Aston Villa FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Fluffe BK were winning 0-2.

In the 55th minute, Claes Mattsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 60th minute, Klas Kolberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Marcus Engström fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aston Villa FC's protests and gave Marcus Engström a yellow card for diving instead. Claes Mattsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Fredric Holmberg skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Isidoro Figueiras didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kjell-Arne Kjellbom went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Fredric Holmberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claes Mattsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fredric Holmberg came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Fluffe BK's Claes Mattsson. But to his dismay, Claes Mattsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. If Kjell-Arne Kjellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fredric Holmberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Wennerqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. In the 99th minute, Aston Villa FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Klas Skog fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Fluffe BK's Joel Wennerqvist managed to work through Aston Villa FC's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Joel Wennerqvist dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Fluffe BK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
