A sloppy throw-in by Lucas Hagberg in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sjötorp IF's Charlie Nässén. After 24 played minutes IFK Tallkotte got a freekick which was hit by Tony Gabrielsson. John Zachrisson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Raul Seixas. Chris Nordås showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Wennerqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. 35 minutes into the match, IFK Tallkotte's goal looked a bit too open when Nils-Åke Runberg came free, but John Zachrisson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Sjötorp IF got a freekick which was hit by Hjalmar Dalman. Hjalmar Dalman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sjötorp IF's Tommy Brummer got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Lucas Hagberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Tallkotte's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sjötorp IF the free kick. The supporters of Sjötorp IF booed when IFK Tallkotte was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Hagberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Staffan Ekström made a kick off. Ralf Wennerqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Chris Nordås tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Tommy Brummer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. John Zachrisson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. John Zachrisson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tommy Brummer in the 63rd minute of the match. Joseph Lind charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joseph Lind the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 64th match minute, IFK Tallkotte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joseph Lind to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Nils-Åke Runberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the IFK Tallkotte defense, Hjalmar Dalman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John Zachrisson. The IFK Tallkotte fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John Zachrisson should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Tommy Brummer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sjötorp IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Tommy Brummer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Zachrisson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. John Zachrisson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Dalman in the 74th minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Sjötorp IF's Tommy Brummer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. John Zachrisson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Lucas Hagberg kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommy Brummer in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John Zachrisson saved IFK Tallkotte from getting behind. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sjötorp IF had played much better football throughout.
