The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes Henley Utd's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Filcho Slivkov who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Norrlands Athen's Filcho Slivkov to fire away a dangerous shot which Benjamin Enegren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of Norrlands Athen booed when Henley Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilhelm Svensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Filcho Slivkov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Norrlands Athen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filcho Slivkov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Van Hoojdonk in the 14th minute of play forced Norrlands Athen's goalkeeper Safet Hands to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Norrlands Athen's goal looked a bit too open when Salvador Ogazón came free, but Safet Hands reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Huang Fei Ting got free with Benjamin Enegren in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute, Juan Lebron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johannes Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Henley Utd's Benjamin Enegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Lebron in the 27th minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Måns Sandberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Enegren. Henley Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Måns Sandberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Henley Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Måns Sandberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Benjamin Enegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Måns Sandberg in the 52nd minute of play. Salvador Ogazón could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Safet Hands made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Henley Utd's Henrik Kjellberg got a free kick in the 57th minute. Henley Utd's Benjamin Enegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Måns Sandberg in the 63rd minute of play. Benjamin Enegren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Lebron in the 70th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Henley Utd defense, Gilbert Hermansson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benjamin Enegren. The Henley Utd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benjamin Enegren should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Henley Utd's Johannes Lund got a free kick in the 77th minute. Filcho Slivkov's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamin Enegren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play.
