Charles Johansson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elliot Högman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hisingen IK's Einar Jernberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sture Ström in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Hisingen IK's Einar Jernberg got control of the ball when Hans Törnblom tried to sneak it across the goal line. Einar Jernberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harry Hernström in the 32nd minute of play. In the 36th match minute, AC Superstar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Kollberg to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hans Törnblom got free with Einar Jernberg in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Einar Jernberg made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Johnny Bröms sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, Harry Hernström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Einar Jernberg. Hisingen IK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Harry Hernström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

There was no doubt that AC Superstar were the better team. AC Superstar's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
