Flock of Eagles's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Finninge Fotboll the free kick. In the 11th minute, Håkan Holm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johannes Bammerman's late challenge caught a Finninge Fotboll's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johannes Bammerman helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Flock of Eagles getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Johannes Bammerman hit a great ball. In the 13th minute, Karl-Erik Algren sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Flock of Eagles's Karl Bock didn't even have to move. In the 24th minute, Fred Anselius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Finninge Fotboll's Karl Bock threw himself towards the right post 31 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Svante Vacker, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Olof Finsberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Anselius in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 35th minute Fred Anselius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olof Finsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Flock of Eagles's Karl Bock got control of the ball when Vilhelm Zander tried to sneak it across the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Flock of Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Vacker came free, but Karl Bock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Finninge Fotboll's Olof Finsberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Anselius in the 45th minute of play. Olof Finsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Frank, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fred Anselius made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Flock of Eagles's zone, Vilgot Nilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Bock came out of the goal and Vilgot Nilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Arne Benett took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Olof Finsberg to make any attempt to save it. Karl Bock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Svante Vacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vilhelm Zander in the 71st minute of play forced Flock of Eagles's goalkeeper Karl Bock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Bock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilhelm Zander in the 77th minute of the match. The supporters of Finninge Fotboll booed when Flock of Eagles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Jönsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Flock of Eagles getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Jens Ingvall hit a great ball. Karl Bock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vilhelm Zander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Flock of Eagles supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Flock of Eagles would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
