In the 67th minute of the match Brothers of Mercy got a corner. White Hart Lane's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Thiago van Dijk ran over to the corner to take the kick. Mats Elg was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Esbjörn Apelquist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Strömbom in the 71st minute of play. A collision led to Brothers of Mercy getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Valentin Kellbom hit a great ball. Supreme Back kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Bengt-Rune Strömbom might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esbjörn Apelquist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bengt-Rune Strömbom ran back to his position shaking his head. Esbjörn Apelquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Rune Strömbom in the 79th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Brothers of Mercy were the better team. Brothers of Mercy's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
