Urban Lundqvist who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Jonny Almqvist when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 15th minute, Jens-Erik Biörk reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonny Almqvist. The goal made the score 2-0. Valdemar Granberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingvar Hökkvist in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute of the match Hudiksvalls United got a corner. Honung's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Björn Björklund ran over to the corner to take the kick. Hudiksvalls United's Björn Björklund was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Valdemar Granberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 24th minute, Jens-Erik Biörk made a precise shot to the right of Jonny Almqvist. Hudiksvalls United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 26th minute Rudolf Alebäck suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jens-Erik Biörk during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hudiksvalls United booed when Honung was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charlie Petersson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Honung's Charlie Petersson got a free kick in the 34th minute. When Greger Brenner fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honung's protests and gave Greger Brenner a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Honung getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Greger Brenner hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 44 minutes into the game, when Tommy Berglund put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hudiksvalls United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 43rd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Jonny Almqvist, was totally fooled by Honung's Sven-Erik Palmquist, who 45 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Urban Lundqvist was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Hudiksvalls United booed when Honung was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Erik Palmquist didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Urban Lundqvist in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonny Almqvist saved Hudiksvalls United from getting behind. Hudiksvalls United's Jonny Almqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johnny Joensson in the 57th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Urban Lundqvist in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonny Almqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the game, Honung's Urban Lundqvist nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonny Almqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Jens-Erik Biörk was shown his second yellow card after 65 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Honung getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jens-Erik Biörk hit a great ball. When Honung's Patric Ambjörnsson in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Urban Lundqvist couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Hudiksvalls United's zone, Johnny Joensson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonny Almqvist came out of the goal and Johnny Joensson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonny Almqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Joensson, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After a rather tough play, Hudiksvalls United's Ingvar Hökkvist got a free kick in the 91st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patric Ambjörnsson in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonny Almqvist saved Hudiksvalls United from getting behind. Johnny Joensson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. There was no doubt that Honung were the better team. Honung's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
