Urban Svensson kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Kaj Jonasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefan Söder having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Alvin Söderkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Westra Aros SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvin Söderkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patrick Samuelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st minute, Uno Bjurström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaj Jonasson in the 22nd minute of play forced Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Stefan Söder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Melchester Rovers's Gabino Mendez got a free kick in the 24th minute. Kaj Jonasson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Melchester Rovers getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Jimmy Johnsson hit a great ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Klas Vallgren to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Melchester Rovers's Kaj Jonasson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. If Yngve Lindberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stefan Söder made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Kaj Jonasson sent off a good shot on target. Alvin Söderkvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Patrick Samuelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Klas Vallgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Stefan Söder made a huge save. 76 minutes into the match, Westra Aros SK's goalkeeper Stefan Söder had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaj Jonasson. The supporters of Melchester Rovers booed when Westra Aros SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uno Bjurström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Melchester Rovers's Marc Lägdin shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 79th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Stefan Söder but with some difficulty. After a defensive mix-up in Melchester Rovers's zone, Örjan Vallander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Samuelsson came out of the goal and Örjan Vallander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvald Tinglöf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Klas Vallgren struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Stefan Söder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melchester Rovers. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaj Jonasson got free with Stefan Söder in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
